The Names Project/AIDS Memorial Quilt
Since 2005, the AIDS Memorial Quilt has been on display at Piedmont Park during the AIDS Walk Atlanta & 5K Run. It started with four panels and has grown to more than 100.
This year - on the 30th anniversary of the Quilt - we hope you'll please join our team to walk and help “Pack the Park with HOPE” on Sunday, October 22nd. With your support, we can make a difference for those infected with, or affected by, HIV/AIDS right here in Atlanta.
Did you know that in the U.S., 1 in 5 persons infected with HIV is unaware of their status? (Info: Kaiser Family Foundation).
Talking openly about HIV can reduce the stigma that keeps too many from seeking the testing, prevention and treatment services, and support they need. Do you know YOUR status? (Info: CDC)
