A note from JZ
In the 90's I became passionate about activism surrounding HIV/AIDS. I spent years educating people and raising funds for people living with, affected by or at-risk of HIV infection while friends disappeared quietly.
Now, medications help suppress the virus and PrEP is helping protect at-risk individuals. New infections in the US have gone down for the first time in history however, in Atlanta, one in two gay black men will contract the disease and it continues to dis-proportionately affect people living in poverty.
There is still much work to be done. Will you help by making a donation to my campaign and by walking alongside me in October?
